My Treat

Lincoln brought me home a treat from school a few days ago. He was so excited to give it to me. He brought me home the rest of his s'more that he got at school. I felt so loved that day. I loved seeing how happy he was to share his treat with me. Thank you Lincoln!

Summer Fun

I love summer! We have been having a fun time playing outside and enjoying the warmth that summer brings. I think as a family we should seriously think about moving somewhere that is warm 12 months out of the year. What do you think Lance?

Summer vacation

I Love Summer! I especially love the weekend of the 4th of July. It is so warm and everyone seems so happy. I also love that we go on a fun vacation getaway during that weekend. I know it is hard for Lance to take off so much work during the summer, but I am so grateful that he does. Thanks Honey!

We started out the weekend with a fun evening with Lance's family. We had a nice dinner at Bob and Debbe's and then we went to the stadium for the fireworks. We always love the firework show. They put on a pretty good show. I also love seeing the kids watch the fireworks. They are always in awe of the whole thing. Lincoln especially loved it this year. He was so excited to go. He was very happy when one of the songs they played during the show was the Indiana Jones theme song. While we were waiting for the fireworks the band playing had everyone doing the hokey pokey. I thought it was so funny watching everyone do it. Jeff was so cute. He really got into it. We left for Bear Lake the next morning, or well afternoon. :>) We had such a nice day with all of Lance's family. We did a lot of swimming and boating. We then had a yummy dutch oven dinner. We enjoyed watching Jack's family light off a bunch of fireworks. They buy the really good ones from Wyoming so it was quite the show.
The next day Lance took us to Bloomington lake. It was so spectacular. It was fun to see the kids so excited. The rope swing was definately the big hit. Molli went off of it twice. She was very brave. She didn't even look nervous. Lance was very proud of his daughter. The second time she landed I think the fridgedness of the water shocked her a bit. Lance was great though and waited out in the glacial water for her to help her out. Lance swung out with each of the boys but did not land in the water. Lincoln told me he wanted to do it 10 times, but I think Lance's arms would have fallen off. He took each of the boys twice and they loved every second of it. Mayber next time I will go.;>)After we were done with the rope swing we hiked around the lake. There was still a lot of snow that the family had fun skiing down. I even tried, even though I landed on my bum and couldn't get up. My bum was cold after that! :>)The next day we went to Minnetonka Cave. This is how I like to experience caves. No splunking for me! :>) The kids thought it was a pretty cool thing. They liked the seven dwarfs the most, and that Snow White had fallen over because she ate a poisoned apple. Blake handled the walk great until he decided he was done. I think all of those stairs made his cute little legs tired. Nevertheless, it was fun.You can't forget playing at the lake. If we weren't out exploring we were at the beach. Molli spent the majority of the time swimming and wave jumping. The boys loved playing and digging in the sand. Lincoln and Blake did a lot more swimming this year than in the past. Lance, once again, tried to build a sand castle. It was pretty cool looking but only lasted about 20 minutes before the boys destroyed it. It then became a huge pile of sand to play in.What a fun trip! We love Bear Lake! I can't wait until next year!
